Class    Priority    About

Warrior: Protection Items: Fast (2.2 or faster) 1H Axes, Maces, Swords, Fist Weapons | Defense Shields | Defense Plate

Stats: Defense, Block, Armor, Stamina, Resiliance, Parry, Dodge, Resistance, Strength, Hit
The Tanking Warrior is almost solely about Mitigation and will be given priority on the typical defense-oriented loot. Slow main-hands, although somewhat desirable for Devistate, will only be given moderate weight.
Warrior: Arms Items: Slow (3.4 or slower) 2H Weapons | DPS Plate

Stats: Strength, Attack Power, Melee Crit, Stamina, Hit, Agility
Strength/AP and Crit is the bread and butter of the Arms Warrior with a slow, high top-end 2-hander for huge Mortal Strike hits. Arms Warriors must share heavy STR/AP Plate with Retribution Paladins due to itemization issues.
Warrior: Fury Items: 1H Axes, Maces, Swords, Fist Weapons | DPS Plate

Stats: Hit, Strength, Attack Power, Melee Crit, Agility, Stamina
The main difference between Fury and Arms for stats is increased preference on Hit although most Plate will be equally rated. Due to the Windfury change in 2.3 with both hands being used many Fury Warriors prefer both the main and off hand weapons to be slow. Ratings even between fast and slow speeds at the moment.

Paladin: Holy Items: Caster Swords, Maces | Caster Shields | Caster Plate

Stats: Healing, Mana/5, Spell Crit, Intellect, Stamina
Although Holy can be used offensively, the ratings will be weighted towards healing Holy Paladins. For non-healing Plate, healing oriented pieces with spellcrit will be highly rated, along with MP5 (lower Spirit weighting).
Paladin: Protection Items: Caster & Defensive Swords, Maces | Caster & Defensive Shields | Caster & Defense Plate

Stats: Defense, Stamina, Block, Spellpower, Resiliance, Armor, Parry, Dodge
Tanking Paladins balance mitigation with offensive casting due to the way they hold aggro (through Holy damage). Due to lack of mixed mitigation (DEF/Block/STA, etc) and cater (Spellpower/INT/Spellhit, etc) itemization Protection Paladins will be given equal preference with Protection Warrior gear much of the time.
Paladin: Retribution Items: 2H Weapons | Caster/DPS Plate

Stats: Strength, Attack Power, Melee Crit, Spellpower, Stamina, Hit
Due to the lack of mixed offensive melee (STR/Crit/AP) and offensive caster (Spellpowier/Spellcrit/Holy) itemization, Retribution Paladins will generally be given equal prioirty as Arms Warriors on melee Plate.

Hunter Items: Bows | Crossbows | Guns | DPS Mail | {Special Melee Consideration}

Stats: Agility, Attack Power, Crit, Intellect, Hit, MP5
Universal non-thrown ranged weapon preference. Melee weapons are only given high priority if they have extremely high AP/AGI. Due to lackluster mail itemization most physical damage oriented mail will be shared between Hunters and Enhancement Shamans.

Shaman: Elemental Items: Caster Maces, Daggers | Caster Shields | Caster Mail

Stats: Spellpower, Spell Crit, Mana/5, Intellect, Spell Hit, Penetration
Lower Staff priority due to the unique offensive caster class ability to equip shields. High priority on specialty Nature spell school gear.
Shaman: Enhancement Items: 1H Axes, Maces, Fist Weapons | DPS Mail

Stats: Strength, Attack Power, Hit, Melee Crit, Stamina, Agility
Due to poor itemization of STR on Mail, most physical damage oriented mail will be equally shared between Enhancement Shamans and Hunters. Low priority on Daggers due to windfury mechanics and normalization of Stormstrike (as an instant attack).
Shaman: Restoration Items: Caster Maces, Daggers | Caster Shields | Caster Mail

Stats: Healing, Mana/5, Intellect, Spell Crit, Spirit
Like the Elemental Shaman, lower Staff priority due to the unique healer class ability to equip shields. For non-armor healing slots, MP5 will be heavily weighted, while Spirit will weight low.

Rogue Items: Daggers | 1H Swords, Maces, Fist Weapons | DPS Leather

Stats: Attack Power, Hit, Melee Crit, Agility, Stamina
Rogue recieve almost universal prioirty on melee Daggers, however they must share non-dagger 1h's with Fury Warriors and Enhancement Shamans. High AGI Leather will be equally shared as well with Feral Druids while high AP and Hit Leather will generally be given Rogue preference.

Druid: Balance Items: Caster Staves, Maces, Daggers | Caster Leather

Stats: Spellpower, Spell Crit, Mana/5, Intellect, Spell Hit, Penetration
Typical offensive caster oriented priority. High priority on specialty Nature spell school gear.
Druid: Feral Items: Feral Staves | Tanking Leather

Stats: Armor, Stamina, Defense, Agility, Dodge, Strength, Resiliance
Slightly more weighted towards tanking Feral over DPS Feral stats. Near universal preference on purely Defensive Leather, and equal preference on highly stacked AGI Leather with Rogues due to itemization. Lower preference on high AP / Hit Leather.
Druid: Restoration Items: Caster Staves, Maces, Daggers | Caster Leather

Stats: Healing, Spirit, Intellect, Spell Crit, Mana/5
Typical healing oriented priority. For non-armor pieces, Spirit will be given higher priority than MP5 due to the nature of the Restoration tree.

Mage Items: Caster Staves, Swords, Daggers | Caster Cloth

Stats: Spellpower, Spell Crit, Intellect, Spell Hit, Penetration, Mana/5
Typical offensive caster priority. High priority on specialty spell school gear (Arcane, Fire, Frost).

Warlock Items: Caster Staves, Swords, Daggers | Caster Cloth

Stats: Spellpower, Spell Crit, Intellect, Spell Hit, Penetration, Mana/5
Typical offensive caster priority. High priority on specialty spell school gear (Shadow, Fire).

Priest: Offensive Caster Items: Caster Staves, Maces, Daggers | Caster Cloth

Stats: Spellpower, Spell Crit, Intellect, Spell Hit, Penetration, Mana/5
Typical offensive caster priority. High priority on specialty Shadow spell school gear.
Priest: Healer Items: Caster Staves, Maces, Daggers | Caster Cloth

Stats: Healing, Spirit, Intellect, Spell Crit
Typical healing oriented priority. High priority on specialty Holy spell school gear. Spirit will be given higher priority than MP5.
