The Prince Keleseth boss fight begins when you kill the last pack in the room with him. After pulling and killing the last pack, the prince will come straight for your party without a chance to rest.

It is important to mind the random Ice Tomb applied to players, these can be burnt down and should be if your party is low on healing. An ice tomb does approximately 8000 damage which leaves most level 70s either dead or very close to it.

In addition to ice tombs, the prince will summon 5 skeletons which can be crowd controlled, make sure they are grouped up when they die because they will be resurrected periodically throughout the fight and its easier to control them if theyre in a group.

Note: If possible its advisable to pull Prince Keleseth off the table in the center of the room as the chairs cause line of sight issues as well as it disrupts pathing with skeletons.

The Skarvald and Dalronn encounter is a twin boss fight much like Romeo & Juliet in Karazhan. They come together when pulled so be prepared to pick both of them up.

The kill order in this fight dosent matter so much, although when one dies, they spawn a spirit that is not targetable and behaves exactly as its alive counterpart. This means that it is suggested they both die roughly at the same time.

Dalronn is a caster-type and casts Shadowbolts while randomly dropping agro, Skarvald is a warrior type and will randomly charge a group member.

The preferred strategy is to dps Skarvald down to 10% then kill Dalronn, returning to finish off Skarvald. This is because when you kill Skarvald he usually will charge a random person (i.e. healer) and because he has no agro table, he will continue to attack them.

Ingvar is found speaking with two Vyrkul riding Proto-dragons at the end of his platform. Once he is agro'ed, the riders will fly away and will not bother your group for the duration of the fight. Make sure to tank Ingvar towards the end of the platform where he is standing and all casters need to stay max range from him. There are two phases to the fight and Ingvar has several devastating abilities, most of which have a cast time allowing the melee to get out of range. In phase 1, Ingvar will enrage early on and the enrage can stack up to 50 times increasing his attack speed by 5% per stack. He also casts Smash and Cleave which are both frontal cone abilities and have cast times allowing the tank to back away or for dps to move behind him. He also has Staggering Roar which deals damage and interrupts all spell casting for six seconds to all enemies within 60 yards. It is very important not to pull agro on this fight, especially if you are ranged, as you will most likely kill whoever is next to you if he happens to Cleave or Smash near any dps.

Once Ingvar dies, Annhylde the Caller appears and will resurrect Ingvar, making him the Lich King's undead servant. Once again, it is very important to keep Ingvar away from as much of the party as possible. Again he has an spell called Dreadful Roar that will interrupt spell casting for eight seconds and cause everyone to gain a debuff that increases shadow damage taken by 5%. This debuff is stackable. He can also place a curse on a party member that unless removed will cause the healer to take additional damage as well. Ingvar now has an upgraded Smash called Dark Smash that can be devastating unless the tank moves away when he begins to cast it. This ability will knockdown and stun the party for two seconds.

It is very important to have a curse removal in the party and to watch his casting bar in order to minimize the damage taken by not only the tank, but the entire party.

Very simple Tank and Spank fight. You just have to move from time to time from the Crystal Spikes that appear in the ground to avoid damage. Casters should stop dps while the Spell Reflection last to avoid inflicting damage to themselves. Try to keep your cooldowns for the last 25% as he gets in an enrage and starts hiting harder.

Start off by tanking Telestra towards the back of the room. She will cast Firebomb and Ice Nova and melee the tank. She also casts Gravity Well which tethers all party members to her and tosses them around the room causing everyone to take shadow damage. Group back up on one side and tank her on the other. At 50%, Telestra will split into three versions of herself: Arcane, Fire, and Frost. The fire version randomly scorches party members, but will stay on the tank for the majority of the time. Frost Telestra casts a room wide Blizzard, Frostbolt, and Ice Lance while the Arcane magus casts Time Stop which is a two second stun to all party members. The Arcane Magus also has the ability to sheep. If you do not have any form of crowd crontrol, then it is best to kill the Frost Magus first to minimize party damage. If you do not have someone who can cleanse or dispel the critter effect, it is best to kill the Arcane Magus next. Otherwise kill the Fire Magus after Frost to once again help minimize damage being done to the party. You can sheep or fear the magi if your party is capable and the magi can also be silenced. It is best to save silences for the Frost Magus's Blizzard if she is not CC'ed. After all three are killed, Telestra will re-assemble herself and continue to cast Firebomb and Gravity Well. Make sure to stay grouped up on one side so that the healer will be in range of everyone and to keep the party's health topped off in case she casts Gravity Well again.

Anomalus should be tanked at the center of his platform to allow the group to move around him. Other party members should stay to one side in a semi-circle around him.

He opens Chaotic Rifts several times throughout the fight, making him smaller in size and invulnerable while the Rift is open. Each Rift spawns Crazed Mana Wraiths, caster mobs that fire arcan missiles quickly. As soon as a Rift opens all DPS should switch to it and burn it down as fast as possible. If any Crazed Mana Wraiths spawn, the tank should pick them up and they can be burned down after the Rift is closed. Once all Rifts and Wraiths are dead, DPS should return to Anomalus until another Rift opens and continue this cycle until he is dead.

When the group approaches Keristrasza's location, she is frozen in a block of ice and cannot be attacked. She is freed by using the four orbs near her. Clear the area and then click on the orbs to begin the encounter.

The tank should pick Keristrasza up as soon as she is released to prevent aggro and debuffs on other group members. She should be positioned parallel to the group to avoid her Tail Sweeps and Crystalfire Breath directional attacks.

Her debuff abilities can be prevented or removed. Crystalfire Breath can be dispelled. The Intense Cold debuff/DoT can be removed by simply moving, so it is recommended that the tank and DPS strafe or jump during the fight to keep from taking damage. Crystal Chains should be dispelled or cleansed so that players can continue to move around.

There are three sets of adds in front of Krik'thir. The order in which you pull them doesn't matter. Make sure to either crowd control the Skirmishers or kill them first as they can Backstab for some pretty nasty damage. Your party will drop combat after each set of adds so there is some time to drink and heal up. Krik'thir will either run at your party by himself or he can be pulled depending on whether your group is ready or not. Pull him to the center of the room and try to keep the group close together. Krik'thir will summon Skittering Swarmers that will come out of the walls towards your group. They have very low health and can be killed easily. He will also cast Curse of Fatigue on a party member from time to time. This slows down movement, attack, and casting speed and also deals shadow damage. It can be removed like any normal curse. at 20%, Krik'thir will Frenzy, increasing his attack speed. Continue to dps him down and kill all the Swarmers that come out.

Hadronox will start at the bottom of the room and slowly work her way up the tunnel. Once you get to the bottom of the ramp, there will be a set of three mobs in front of you. It is very important not to run too close to the two staircases in this room as mobs will constantly be flowing down them towards Hadronox. Once you pull the first group of mobs, a short gauntlet will trigger. After the mobs die, two more groups will come down the stairs and sit at the bottom of them. Keep your party at the ramp with the healer and any casters standing away as the adds will silence from time to time. Kill the two groups of mobs and make sure to pick up any of the extra non-elite adds that will come down the stairs towards your party. Make sure to stay back against the wall once Hadronox comes into the room. Do not attempt to engage her before she has killed all the other mobs as she heals for 10% everytime she kills something and yes, that includes a party member. Once all the adds have died, Hadronox will come at your party. It is crucial that you have someone in the group that can cure poisons. She casts Leech Poison which drains health and returns it to her and if that person dies with the poison on, she will heal for 10% of her life. She also casts Acid Clouds on the ground that deal quite a bit of damage and do not despawn for around two minutes. Make sure to not stand in them as they are easily avoidable. She also casts Web Grab which pulls everyone in the party to her. When this happens, have the ranged and healers spread back out.

Make sure to tank Anub'arak facing away from the party as he can cast Pound, which does roughly 10k damage in a frontal cone to all targets. He will also cast Locust Swarm that causes damage to all party members so be sure to have the healer top everyone off when he begins casting this. After some time, Anub'arak will tunnel into the floor and disappear. Several mobs will fly down from the ceiling, others will tunnel out of the ground or come down the ramp towards the group. Be sure to pick them up when possible. Make sure to kill these before Anub'arak comes back. While he is gone, you will notice dust rise up from the ground and shortly thereafter, spikes will fire up out of it. All party members should avoid these as they cause around 3k damage and knock anyone standing on it up into the air. Once Anub'arak comes back to the surface, continue to face him away from the rest of the party. He will tunnel down again and when he does, remember to pick up any adds that will come during this phase. Anub'arak has the ability to summon Carrion Beetles while he is on the surface. These have low health and can be picked off quickly so the tank should continue concentrating on keeping the boss facing away from the party while dps kills the beetles.

Elder Nadox has almost no abilities so the tank just has to grab agro and hold it - however the hard part is the constant wave of bugs he summons. Throughout the fight a constant wave of small non-elite bugs will spawn which can be AoE down with easy, however periodically an elite Ahn'kahar Guardian will spawn and make all the non-elite bugs immune to damage. At this point all dps will need to shift to burning down the Ahn'kahar Guardian as soon as possible and then go back to killing the small bugs and the boss.

Phase 1: Initially Prince Taldaram will be engulfed in a shield of blue light, and unattackable. In order for the group to render him vulnerable, you need to clear the two platforms opposite of his platform - two web bridges lead to them, and there are two Frostbringers and two Eyes of Taldaram on each of the platforms, alongside with a Nerubian object that causes the magical field to "diminish" (first object), and then "disappear" (second object). Activating those two is instant cast action, so you can do it while battling the Frostbringers and Eyes.

Phase2: When both objects are activated, and the magical shield - brought down, Prince Taldaram will become attackable, but won't engage the group, unless approached. Once engaged, avoid the Flame Spheres whenever possible, but don't make it your main goal in the fight - they don't hit too hard. Fire Resistance Aura or Fire Resistance Totem may help towards this. The group should keep Taldaram DoTed up, so Embrace of the Vampyr doesn't surprise the group.

20 Twilight Volunteers will spawn just before the boss descends, but will remain untargetable/unattackable. Disregard them for now, but spread your group in such manner, so you can keep an eye on every Volunteer in the room. As soon as the boss becomes attackable, feel free to go all out - his spells are cast on a random timer, so saving your cooldowns for a specific percent HP won't do any good.

Throughout the whole fight Jedoga will randomly ascent, become invulnerable, and ask for the most devoted among the Volunteers. A few seconds later, one of them will step ahead, become targetable and start walking towards the magic circle that had appeared under Jedoga's feet. It is very important to kill the Volunteer (elite, ~25k hp) as soon as possible, because if you don't, Jedoga will start (and eventually finish) draining the power from the Twilight member, gaining Gift of the Herald, increasing all damage done by 200%. Getting the buff usually means wipe, because the normal hits go up to 6k, and the occasional spells can quickly burn tanks' HP pool. Regardless if whether the Volunteer was killed by your group or by the boss, Jedoga will descend soon, and resume the fight - hopefully without the +200% damage buff.

This is mostly a gimmick fight in its current state, due to the relative ease of the Insanity debuff. Volazj remains a tank and spank for the entire encounter, until he casts Insanity. When this ability is cast, each member of the part is cast into a "shadow realm" where they are forced to kill the other members of their party. These "evil clones" are very weak, and should pose no real problems to anyone. Once the spell's duration expires, the fight returns to the regular tank and spank.

Start by pulling Trollgore down the steps and have the tank keep him there near the bottom. At some point during the fight, a few trolls will run down the stairs towards the party. They have relatively low health and can be easily picked up by the tank if he remains there at the bottom of the steps. There will be several troll corpses on the ground which Trollgore can use to cast Corpse Explosion which causes AoE damage around the corpse. Try to keep him away from as many corpses as possible to minimize the damage done or just have your party members avoid standing near them. Trollgore will place a disease on a party member, usually the tank, that needs to be removed as it increases the amount of damage taken for 20 seconds. He can also cast Crush and this will knock the person down and deal 150% damage to them so be sure to keep the tank topped off. The longer the fight lasts, the larger Trollgore will become and the more damage he will do as he has an ability called Consume. This deals AoE damage to all party members and gives him a buff that increases damage by 2% everytime it is cast. Try to minimize as much AoE damage as possible and keep all party member's health topped off.

Once your party approaches Novos, he will cast a shield on himself that makes him immune to damage. Have your party position themselves at the bottom of the stairs because while the shield remains active, adds will continue to come down the stairs. Most of them can easily be killed without being tanked. The two adds the tank should be concerned with are the Hulking Corpses and the Crystal Handlers. As the fight progresses, Novos will call for assistance and one Crystal Handler will emerge from one of the two doorways leading into the room. Once it is killed, one of the crystal pillars becomes inactive. After the fourth Crystal Handler is killed, the shield comes down and Novos is now vunerable to attacks. Make sure to finish off any additional adds before attacking Novos. Make sure all party members avoid the Blizzard as it deals a lot of damage and if someone caught in it has Wrath of Misery on them, the results can be fatal. Wrath of Misery is a curse cast by Novos that deals damage over time and can be removed. Novos also casts Frostbolt randomly at party members and is immune to silence. It is very important to keep all party members health topped off as there is no indicator as to when Novos will cast Blizzard or Wrath of Misery.

King Dred can be tanked either outside or inside his pen. He does not cause any AoE damage or target anyone except the tank as long as threat is sufficient. He has two roars: Bellowing roar that fears all party members within 35 yards for four seconds, and Fearsome Roar that reduces damage done by all party members. The healer can therefore outrange the fear and keep the tank topped off throughout the fight as King Dred casts Grievous Bite which causes the target to bleed until returned to 100% health. It is important to remove this as soon as possible as he also has Mangling Slash which deals additional damage and increases damage done by bleed effects. He also has Piercing Slash which reduces armor by 75% and this coupled with the bleed can be devastating if the healer is caught in a fear.

Tank The Prophet Tharon'ja on the middle of his platform. It is best if all party members stay close to him. Throughout the duration of the fight, Tharon'ja will frequently cast Decay Flesh which melts the flesh off of all party members for 25 seconds.. While in skeleton form, a number of new abilities will become available to use. Slaying Strike is much like a rogue's Sinister Strike as it is an instant ability that deals melee damage and has a 1 sec. cooldown. Tharon'ja will continue to focus on the tank during this phase and the player's come equipped with Touch of Life that steals health from Tharon'ja. If a player's health becomes low, any other player can use Taunt to have The Prophet focus his attention on someone else. Be sure to keep up Bone Armor which absorbs damage taken. After 25 sec. are up, Tharon'ja will cast Return Flesh which will return all party members to normal and allow them to use normal abilities. Make sure to keep the tank topped off as The Prophet can cast Burn Flesh at any time and although you have a steal life, you do not want the tank to die while shapeshifted. Tharon'ja will also cast Poison Cloud that can easily be avoided and disappears after 10 seconds. He can also cast Shadow Volley which causes AoE damage to all party members, but he will focus Lightning Breath and/or Eye Beam on a single target. Tharon'ja also casts Curse of Life that deals damage over time and unless removed by player means, will remove itself once the target falls below 50% health. Avoid poison clouds, keep all party member's health topped off before becoming skeletons, and make sure no one dies while shapeshifted by taunting off the tank if needed.

Start the fight with all the party at either the rubbled ramp to the left or the stairs to the right. Once he has done his little speech he'll come running at the party. The tank picks him up and keeps him at the top of the stairs/ramp for 10-15 seconds. Keep dps high and he'll summon his first and second adds. Move up the balcony and along the bridge slowly whilse tanking and dps. Ranged and healers try stay a little ahead of the tank. The adds will come up the stairs/ramp where you were stood and slowly move along the bridge. You should move to the other side of the bridge at the ramp/stairs that you did not start on. Once there the orbs have a few more seconds before despawning. Move him back up to the top and carry on dps. Simply repeat back the other way as many times as nessecary and the orbs should never hit the raid.

The boss spawns with two elite adds. In heroic (and possibly normal) mode, all three are capable of chaining bloodlust, which should be dispelled if possible. Also, if both adds die before the boss dies, the boss enrages. As such, the general strategy for this boss in heroic is to kill one add to reduce the incoming damage, kill the boss, then finish off the other add.

Cyanigosa will appear in the center of the room and transform into a large blue dragon. Her abilities are pretty standard, just have the main tank face her away from the party members. If she casts blizzard on top of the tank have him move away from it - and Uncontrollable Energy is a dispellable magic debuff that doesn't deal too much damage if left alone. She appears to be able to teleport the entire party in front of her, when this happens just spread back out again.

Relatively simple encounter. Tank and spank with some acid volleys. He seemed immune to interrupts, so it appears you have to eat them. At about 30% he begins summoning small snakes and serpents to zerg your group, just place the healer out on the balcony so you can have DPS and the tank pick them up while cutting the boss down.

It's mostly tank and spank. Gal'darah will charge random people during his troll phase, and will cast a form of Whirlwind - doesn't hurt too much, but make sure your melee gets out of it. His charges also cause knockback and lower the aggro of the person that's being knocked, so tanks, be ready to taunt after one of those.

Halfway through the fight he will transform into a Rhino, and will cause occasional bleed on some people - raid warning will announce it. Healers may need to toss an extra heal on the people that are bleeding, but it's not all too bad.

Mainden of Grief is similar to Maiden of Virtue in Karazhan. The party will have to move away from the Storm of Grief (large black pits the boss summons - deals constant damage if you stand in it) constantly - however the healer and main tank in the group will need to stay near a Storm of Grief at all times. When the boss starts to cast Shock of Sorrow both main tank and healer will need to step in the Storm of Grief to remove the incapacitating effect. Note that if the main tank does not remove this effect and someone else in the party does the boss will automaitically switch to that player - making it crucial that the main tank is able to break this effect every time.

Krystallus is a tank and spank fight with the Gruul mechanics. Every once in a while Krystallus will perform an AoE knockback - at which point the party has a few seconds to spread out before everyone turns to stone. Beyond that he has no other major abilities to note so just go back to DPS on the boss until he is down.

Sjonnir The Ironshaper is a lighting based boss that is unfortunately melee unfriendly. 2 of his main abilities will require melee to move away - Static Charge (which causes you to deal damage to all party members nearby) and Lighting Ring - which the boss will periodically channel and force all melee including the tank to back off until the spell is finished. The boss will also summon slimes to assist him - however they appear on the edges of the room, move slowly, and basically will rarely reach the boss before he is dead. At low hit points the boss will also enrage, causing him to deal a lot more physical damage to the main tank.

Kill the Three waves of mobs consisting of:
o First Wave: 2 elite Earthens melee
o Second Wave: 2 elites Earthen melee & 2 non-elite casters
o Third Wave: 1 Golem and 3 elite Earthen melees

During the fight the machine will shoot off two beams at the Earthen enemies

This fight is presumed not to be done due to how easy it is. The boss will first have a dialogue with Arthas, then you may engage her. She does very little damage to plate, and summons adds throughout the fight. These adds spawn three at a time and channel beams to stun one of the party members, but the adds have low health and damage. After the adds are dead, the boss will fly up and summon more, your party member will be free to move again, and a sword will drop from the sky to do some AoE damage to the altar. While in the air, casters can still DPS her. She will repeat this cycle a few times.

This boss requires the player to channel an object near the far end of the room, away from the boss to start the encounter. The fight is similar to the last boss of Arcatrz in that a spirit is summoned, and activates a series of mini-bosses before the actual boss. The room has 4 animals in it, and you will fight two of them. On Heroic, you fight all 4 mini-bosses.

The furblog mini-boss has a chain lightning spell and does not hit very hard.

The worm mini-boss debuffs 1000 armor and also does a short-ranged AoE poison that deals 1000 damage per second and is cleansable.

The rhino does AoE damage and hits hard in melee.

Palehoof himself is activated after you finish off the mini-bosses, and does not hit exceptionally hard on plate. He has a random bleed dot named Impale that does 2k initial damage and then ticks for 3k every 3 seconds for 9 seconds. He also stacks an aura every 30 seconds or so that reduces maximum health by 500. This is a very easy to beat DPS check. There are a few seconds to drink between each of the mini-bosses and Palehoof.

This boss has a pet protodragon that he jumps onto when engaged. The boss then calls in a hallway of adds for you to kill, these adds do not have very much health or hit exceptionally hard. Each time you kill a Harpooner, he will drop a Harpoon for you to loot. While fighting down the hallway, Skadi will make flying passes above you, covering half of the hall with a frost aura that does damage if you stand in it. Once you reach the end of the hallway, there are several harpoon launchers aimed at an area that Skadi will pass when doing flyovers to apply his frost breath. An emote will pop up altering you that he is within range of the harpoons. The Harpoon is then used with the Harpoon launcher to damage his mount. After it takes a certain amount of damage he will dismount. After you have cleared the hallway, adds will continue to spawn from the doorway, sometimes containing a harpooner that will provide more harpoons if you need them. Once you have shot down the boss, he will doing fairly high damage on plate and do a whirlwind that does a lot of damage to cloth. Make sure to have healers / casters stay back, and melee back out when it starts if there are gear issues.

King Ymiron has trash in front of him that will aoe fear, so make sure to pull those back to the hallway before his room. Once Ymiron is engaged, he will summon spirits to help him throughout the fight. The spirit that summons an orb that shoots out more orbs appears to be overtuned for normal or not be completely done, as it does a very high amount of damage. The other spirits just cause secondary effects which are not too dangerous. Ymiron appears to hit very hard on plate. The Dark Slash attack will remove half of the tanks health. He also buffs himself with a buff that does 1-2k damage to surrouning people when attacked. This can be dispeled or spellstolen off of him.

This boss is found patrolling the platforms in the first room, it's essential that you spot and identify him by the large amounts of lightning he uses when in a pack. Once you've found him, wait till he patrols to a new platform and pull the trash pack on the platform he just left. Once you've cleared this platform you're set up to start the encounter.

Gjarngrin is set up much like a warrior. He switches back and forth between battle stance and berzerk stance. While in berzerk stance he can hit for up to 12-13k on plate, so be ready for a massive burst damage. Additionally, Gjarngrin will whirlwind, however this is unlike a warrior, he spins around multiple times and hits repeatedly, have your tank pull him out of the melee group during this phase and be ready to keep your tank alive.

The rest of the fight is rather simple, mind his chain lightning to minimize damage and he will fall over. The lightning does more damage the farther two affected people are apart, so stand close together to reduce damage when hit. Some consider this boss to be the hardest in the instance, feedback so far is that this boss is slightly overtuned for normal.

Volkhan is a molten giant whom is after a short gauntlet-style trash room and about 10 pulls of 3-packs. It's recommended you clear the upper part of the room (where Volkhan is) before attempting the boss. Volkhan is rather simple boss, like most giants Volkhan has a lot of smashes and melee-range AoeE around his feet. It's suggested to watch for his emotes and have any melee dps run out to avoid getting clobbered.

Every now and then Volkhan will run over to his anvil/forge and summon a number of tiny molten adds ranging from 5-8 in number. Have your tank ready to use any AoE they have to pick them up when he goes to summon them. The molten adds to relatively low damage. Once the molten adds reach 1 HP, they "cool". In this state, the adds no longer move, and turn white. The next time Volkhan casts Shatter, the cooled adds will explode, doing around 5k fire damage to everyone in around 8 yards. It is vital to stay a good distance from cooled adds, or it is possible to take tens of thousands of damage in a single burst.

Volkhan is known to hit rather hard on plate, 4-5k + some 8k hits, and will easily clobber any non-plate at his feet.

Ionar is a wind elemental whom looks like an upgraded version of Murmur or Prince Thunderaan. He is a rather simple fight because all his damage have extremely easy to spot visual queues. When fighting Ionar periodically he will throw a lightning ball at the ground where a player is standing (much like Void Reaver) that players must dodge.

Additionally Ionar will debuff one person with a defuff similar to static charge from Lady Vashj and everyone must spread out away from that player. At the end of this debuff, the person explodes, doing damage to those around them.

Every 20 or so percent, Ionar will disperse into a number of small wind sparks and begin coating the ground with an array of lightning. The wind sparks will follow players around and strech the range of the lightning effect which deals 500 damage every 0.5->1 seconds. Players must run away from the lightning, there is no door and the room is large, so this is fairly easy to do.

Loken is the last boss in Ulduar: Halls of Lightning and has an extended ammount of trash before him. He is however rather easy compared to the other bosses. Loken starts off with a longwinded speech then finally gets up from his throne. When he is done rambling have your tank run in and pull Kronus to the center of the room. Everyone needs to stand as close to the center of the boss as possible. Loken has an aura that ticks for more as you get farther away from him, only ticking for ~200 when standing in the center of his model, but ticking for 1-2k when far away from him.

Everyone must also listen for the Emote "Lightning Wave" (Exact name unknown at this time). A graphic will appear at his feet, when this happens everyone (including the tank) must run away from Loken. You can see him cast this spell, and when it goes off, it does a high amount of damage within 10-15? yards. This is not something that will be easy for the healer to keep up with if you stand in.

If you thought running from bombs in The Mechanar was a blast, you haven't seen this bomb-launching maniac yet. This is a very straight forward fight, but it involves a great deal of movement (As most of the fights in this instance do). Randomly, Drakos will cast a stomp, which launches nearby players in the air, doing no damage but immobilizing you for the duration. Also randomly, he will cast a spell which pulls all members of your party into melee range. During this fight, constant spawns of roughly 5 bombs will appear and travel to random locations about the platform. Usually around 10-12 bombs are active at the same time. The explosions are pretty painful, so keep an eye out and keep moving!

When you first encounter him, he'll be standing on the perimeter sections all by himself. When you approach he has a chance to spawn one of three packs of mobs: Animals: kill the cloud serpent first, Elementals: kill the fire elementals first, Monsters: kill the ogre first. Note that when he spawns these mobs he, himself, is not in the fight. You don't engage the boss directly until after these 3 waves of summons and you find him on the center structure.

During most of the fight he will cast what appears to be a frost trap on the ground while you fight him. If you stand on top of the frost trap, you'll get a debuff called frostbomb that ticks for frost damage every few seconds, around 650 in heroic. In heroic mode this is combined with another debuff called frost buffet, which amplifies frost damage the longer you're on top of the frost trap area (1x, then 2x, then 3x, etc). Frost buffet does not appear in regular mode. In heroic mode players can go down very quickly if they stick in the frost area too long, as they'll be taking insane amounts of damage very quickly once frost buffet starts stacking.

To counter this the tank should drag Urom around the ring by walking and tanking backwards. You fight on a ring, so you can just walk backwards indefinitely. Doing this will continuously move Urom away from his frost trap area. Everyone else should follow behind the tank, so as to stay away from the frost trap area. Melee DPS can have an especially hard time with this, and they will require heals in addition to the tank, because they're going to be popping on and off this area as Urom recasts (which he does frequently). The frost area slows, so you can kind of get stuck in it due to the reduction in movement speed. Stay aware and stay out of it. Just have everyone walk backwards, everyone stay behind the tank, and heal up during the arcane explosion break, which is explained below.

The second part happens every so often in the fight. Urom will teleport to the center of the Nexus and yell something about power and destroying you and such, and cast an arcane explosion. When he does this, you'll need to run behind one of the large stone pillars that should be nearby you, in order to shield yourself from his arcane explosion. This is almost the same mechanics as Talon King Ikiss' Arcane Explosion. There are two differences between normal and heroic mode for this ability. The first is the time you have to get to safety - in heroic mode it's significantly shorter than regular mode, and unless you start running to the nearest pillar as soon as he teleports, you aren't going to make it. The second is the damage, which is increased in heroic mode.

This boss is a perfect way to train people how to fight on the move. He has two major moves: calling in a drake and a forked-lightning style nuke. Randomly, Urom will call down an Azure Drake. This drake will cast a breath beam on the party that deals 3k damage per tick. It follows a specific player, moving a bit faster than back-peddle speed. This forces players to stay on the move to avoid a large amount of sustained damage over time. Around the platform are several arcane orbs. These orbs channel power into Urom, and after a few seconds he will turn toward the group of orbs powering him and use his forked-lightning style ability, dealing roughly 10k damage to everyone in the ~60 degree area. He does this very frequently. Keep on the move, and watch out for which orbs are powering him, and you'll be fine.

Eregos has two repeating phases. During the first phase he'll DPS as normal while spawning little whelps to attack you. The ruby tank's damage ability is like C'thun's Eye Beam - it bounces from target to target and increases in damage each bounce. So the whelps should be naturally taken care of by the tank, since he'll be DPSing the whole time anyway. The tank should also be using his evasion ability whenever it's up. Amber drakes should be stacking charges and DPSing, as well as using time stop whenever it's up to alleviate some damage. Since you'll most likely have 2 or 3 amber drakes, it's a good idea to establish a rotation for time stop so you can keep Eregos frozen as long as possible. Occasionally Eregos will enrage. It isn't a particularly nasty enrage, but if you have a time stop free you might want to use it. You won't immediately wipe if you don't, though. Green drakes should be healing like normal.

Eregos' second phase is when he goes incorporeal. When he does this he'll summon big, pink floating orbs that will follow party members around in the air, and explode for big damage should they get close enough. Kite these around at different altitudes to avoid hitting other party members also flying around, and once they explode at the end of the phase go back to DPSing. Rinse and repeat.

Basically a tank and spank boss, he hits very hard. Be prepared for a lot of spiky damage, especially on a tank with mid-quality gear.

He frequently chains a random player in the party, immobilizing and stunning them and dealing approx 1k dmg/sec for 5 sec. Due to the high amount of party damage along with spiky tank damage, it is advised to utilize other party members with healing effects to take the pressure off the main healer.

Salramm the Fleshcrafter is a necromancer. He is the second boss encountered in CoT: Stratholme Past. He does pretty decent melee damage, although not as strong as Meathook. He occasionally casts uninterruptible Shadow Bolts that hit quite hard.

Also, he has a draining spell that leaves the affected party member with a debuff that turns them into a skeleton and temporarily reduces damage done by 35%. The 'flavorful' ability he has is his ability to summon, and subsequently corpse explode ghouls. He summons them at seemingly random intervals, one or more at a time. And explodes them at equally random times.

Clear the area well before the fight begins. The party should spread out while Epoch is tanked near the portals to avoid getting hit more than once per blade dance. Heal through his blade dance. Success!

Mal'Ganis will spawn when the party enters Crusader Square at the end of the instance. Arthas will aid the party in the encounter, but does not tank the boss and does not do any special abilities. He is a mini-Anetheron, with a frontal cone AOE damage spell and a random sleep. The party should position themselves behind him and as spread out as possible to avoid taking too much damage from this when he targets any given player.

It is possible to use PvP trinkets or other similar methods (like Paladin bubble) to remove the sleep effect. The effect can also be dispelled. Players with off-spec healing abilities may want to be ready in case the main healer is slept. His Vampiric Touch buff can be dispelled and should be as soon as possible.

When Mal'Ganis reaches below 10% health, he escapes, breaking combat and despawning after a little speech. The loot from the encounter then spawns in the form of a chest. If the party wipes, Mal'Ganis despawns. Speak to Arthas to restart the encounter.
