Items: Fast (2.2 or faster) 1H Axes, Maces, Swords, Fist Weapons | Defense Shields | Defense Plate Stats: Defense, Block, Stamina, Expertise, Parry, Dodge, Armor, Strength, Hit |
The Tanking Warrior is almost solely about Mitigation and will be given priority on the typical defense-oriented loot. Slow main-hands, although somewhat desirable for Devistate, will only be given moderate weight. |

Items: 2H Weapons | DPS Plate Stats: Strength, Expertise, Haste, Hit, Crit, Attack Power, Armor Penetration |
Fury and Arms both now look for very similar stats, although Fury will favor +Hit slightly more than Arms. Due to Titans Grip, 1-hand weapons will now be lower priority. |

Items: 2H Weapons | Tanking Plate Stats: Defense, Parry, Dodge, Expertise, Stamina, Armor, Strength, Hit |
Due to the lack of Shields, Death Knights will seek mitigation from Dodge and Parry more than Protection Warriors / Paladins. There so far is no itemization for purely defensive 2-hand weapons and virtually all 2-hand weapons will be shared between DPS Warriors, Retribution Paladins, and Death Knights. However, there are some standout 2-handers with high amount of Stamina, Hit, and/or Expertise that a tanking Death Knight will more than likely find more useful over more DPS oriented weapons. |

Items: 2H Weapons | DPS Plate Stats: Strength, Expertise, Haste, Hit, Crit, Attack Power, Armor Penetration |
Since 1-hand weapons in 3.0 are only possibly viable in a specific tri-spec build and virtually all currently known modeling done with 2-hands extensively, Death Knights will have lower priority on 1-handers. In WotLK physical DPS plate itemization will be shared almost evenly between DPS Warriors, Retribution Paladins, and DPS Death Knights. |

Items: Caster Weapons & Shields | Caster Plate Stats: Spellpower, Crit, Haste, Mana/5, Intellect, Spirit |
Although Holy can be used offensively, the ratings will be weighted towards healing Holy Paladins. Spellpower plate is one of the very few itemization subclasses which only a Holy Paladin can effectively use. |
